Ruckl
Founded in 1846, Ruckl is a prestigious Czech glassmaker with nearly three centuries of family glassmaking tradition. Beginning with Jan Ruckl's first factory in Cyranův Wostrov, the company expanded under Antonín Ruckl, who founded the Nižbor glassworks in 1903, strategically near a new railway for innovation and growth. Despite the challenges of World Wars and the communist era, Ruckl preserved its craft and adapted to changing times. After the Velvet Revolution, Jiří Ruckl, a descendant of the founder, reclaimed the family legacy by buying back the Nižbor factory in 1992. Today, Ruckl combines centuries-old hand-cut crystal techniques with contemporary design, collaborating with leading artists like Kateřina Handlová. Each piece reflects precision, passion, and the rich heritage of Czech glassmaking, making Ruckl a symbol of timeless elegance and craftsmanship that continues to inspire and captivate crystal lovers worldwide.
